Toronto— A Toronto woman is recovering after being attacked by a large dog at Finchdale Plaza Saturday evening.

The victim was on a walk with her son when she passed by a man walking his dog. The dog jumped up on her back leaving puncture wounds on her backside.

The Dog Attack

On August 8, 2009, the victim was walking across the parking lot at Finchdale Plaza in Toronto with her son. As they passed by a man walking his dog on a leash it jumped up on her from behind. The large dog was a mixed breed German Sheppard and Rottweiler. She reported puncture wounds to her buttocks and scratches on her back due to this surprise attack.

According to the victim, people who saw the event called the cops and an ambulance. The paramedics gave the victim a shot, no other medical attention was required at the time.

Compensation for victim

The court awarded the women $2,500.00 for general damages.
