The Dog Attack
On August 8, 2009, the victim was walking across the parking lot at Finchdale Plaza in Toronto with her son. As they passed by a man walking his dog on a leash it jumped up on her from behind. The large dog was a mixed breed German Sheppard and Rottweiler. She reported puncture wounds to her buttocks and scratches on her back due to this surprise attack.
According to the victim, people who saw the event called the cops and an ambulance. The paramedics gave the victim a shot, no other medical attention was required at the time.
Compensation for victim
The court awarded the women $2,500.00 for general damages.
