CBC News reported that a 65-year-old man from Fort Frances died in a personal watercraft accident on Rainy Lake. Officers were sent to the scene at about 3:30 p.m. July 29 after receiving reports of someone who was unconscious as a result of an accident on the lake.
The Koochiching County Sheriff’s Office had already arrived on the scene and was able to depart for the situation, whereas members of the public attempted to administer life-saving procedures to the victim.
The victim was brought by authorities to the Rainy Lake Medical Centre in International Falls, Minnesota, where he later died.
Brian Craig Sanders, the person who died in this accident, has been identified by police.
