Jeffrey Sloka’s sexual assault trial resumed Tuesday with a medical expert reviewing multiple cases involving women and girls referred to him for seizure disorders. The age of his alleged victims ranges from their teens to their fifties.

Jeffrey Sloka is on trial for sexual assault in connection with incidents dating back to 2010.

The court heard about alleged incidents involving a pregnant woman and teen, and Sloka was accused of performing inappropriate examinations.

Dr. Vera Bril, a neurologist, shared her opinion on the notes the accused had taken while examining and treating patients referred to him to be treated for seizures. She said there would be no reason for a patient to get naked for a checkup relating to seizures.

Sloka was put under restrictions, then stripped of his medical licence, and arrested in May 2019.

Sloka was charged with 76 offences in connection with separate sexual assaults against women. The trial continues on Wednesday.
