Man wins $48,227 in a lawsuit against a motorist who hit him while cycling.

The bicycle accident

A man was riding his bike in a bike lane when he was struck by a car. He landed on the hood of the car injuring his head and shoulder.

Victim injuries from the bicycle accident

His injuries consisted of a concussion and a soft tissue injury to his left arm. He had a lot of shoulder pain and stiffness and tingling in his left arm and was diagnosed with rotator cuff tendonitis. He also suffered from pain in his back. All injuries resolved with time however he continues to feel pain in his neck and back when bending or lifting heavy things

Compensation for victim

The judge found the driver liable for the injuries to the cyclist and awarded him $48,227 in damages.
